An introductory prerequisite retreat/seminar which will focus on the basics of critical thinking, the development of the biblical canon and a brief survey of the history of biblical criticism.  This seminar will be the entry point for new students to join a warm and caring “grassroots” scholarly community and is open, as well, to current and former students and other interested laity.

Rev. Fran Schnarre is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and is the Director of Educational Ministries at MSR Center for Rural Ministry. She is also part-time pastor of Granville Christian Church near Paris, MO. Fran lives with her husband, Brian, on a farm near Centralia, MO. They are the parents of four grown children and have one grandchild.
