We are created in and for relationships. Life-enriching relationships, whether with intimate partners, family, friends, colleagues or parishioners, require healthy boundaries. This workshop explores the meaning and practice of healthy boundaries in the context of ministry. It will also identify the signs, dangers, and preventions of boundary violations. The workshop begins with an assumption that the complexity of relational dynamics in the congregation is one of its greatest possibilities and greatest challenges for ministry. Leader: Since 2000, Donna Rose-Heim has been Co-Minister of the Northwest Area of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Mid-America. She is a graduate of St. Paul School of Theology and has written and published Dream Walking, a book of spiritual exercises for women. She leads workshops and retreats on a variety of topics, with an emphasis in spirituality. Donna is co-host of a weekly radio show, Step by Step: Women on the move” on KMRN, 1360AM. She is training with Dr. Marie Fortune and Dr. Aleese Moore-Orbih of the Faith Trust Institute.
This event fulfills the requirement for Boundaries Training for ministers in the Christian Church (DOC) of Mid-America.
Ministers of other denominations are welcome to attend for continuing education.
